जनक उवाचः
मुझ अनंत महोदधि में, विश्व रूपी नाव जो,
मन स्वरूपी पवन विचलित, पर न मैं सम्भव जो.------१

मुझ अनंत महोदधि में, जग कल्लोल स्वभाव जो,
उदय, चाहे अस्त, अब मैं वृद्धि क्षय, समभाव जो.-----२

मैं अनंत महोदधि , जग कल्पना निःसार है,
अब शांत, मैं स्थित अवस्था, में न कोई विकार है .----३

आसक्ति विषयों के प्रति, मन देह की मेरी नहीं,
आत्मज्ञ , मुक्त हूँ स्पृहा से, विषयों की चेरी नहीं.------४

आश्चर्य ! मैं चैतन्य और यह विश्व मात्र प्रपंच है,
अतः जग की लाभ हानि मैं, रूचि नहीं रंच है.-----५

Janaka said:

In the infinite ocean of myself the world boat drifts here and there,
moved by its own inner wind. I am not put out by that. 7.1

Whether the world wave of its own nature rises or disappears in the
infinite ocean of myself, I neither gain nor lose anything by that. 7.2

It is in the infinite ocean of myself that the mind-creation called the
world takes place. I am supremely peaceful and formless,
and I remain as such. 7.3

My true nature is not contained in objects, nor does any object
exist in it, for it is infinite and spotless. So it is unattached,
desireless and at peace, and I remain as such. 7.4

I am pure consciousness, and the world is like a magician's show.
How could I imagine there is anything there to take up or reject? 7.5
